• Original title or copy with clearly legible VIN
• VTR form (available at Sheriff's office)
• Valid driver's license
• Vehicle

How much does a vehicle inspection cost ?

Vehicle inspections cost $5.00.

You will need to bring your vehicle to the Boyd County Sheriff's Office.  Direction can be found here.

Our normal business hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm.

What do I do if my license plates are expired?

Contact us at admin@boydcountysheriff.com or call our office at 739-5135 to arrange an onsite vehicle inspection. The total  cost for an onsite inspection is $15.00 cash or check payable to the Boyd County Sheriff.
